Trail Running Shoes
Suitable for off-road running
By Ian Griffiths BSc (Hons) PGCert MChS, sports podiatrist
Trail shoes feature more durable uppers and outsoles that flex and grip on various off-road terrain.
As trail shoes are designed for softer surfaces they often have less cushioning than a road shoe. The foot will often sit lower to the ground than in a road shoe to offer increased responsiveness.
Think about buying these if:
- You do a lot of off-road running and require extra traction and protection
