Lightweight Running Shoes
Suitable for runners who prefer a lightweight, responsive shoe for use in fast training or racing
By Ian Griffiths BSc (Hons) PGCert MChS, sports podiatrist
These shoes offer less protection than regular training shoes and therefore are generally recommended for people with more ‘neutral’ foot-type/gait. Lightweight shoes can also have a range of varying stability.
Think about buying these if:
- You want a racing shoe but want more support and cushioning than you’d get from racing flats
